Hello My Name Is...

David Londene

Hi, my name is David Londene and I would like to welcome you to my teacher webpage. I have been teaching in Spring Hill for the past 29 years. I received my (BS) from Pittsburg State University and my (MA) from MidAmerica Nazarene University. I teach Drafting, Drafting/CAD, Architecture Design, and Research & Design at Spring Hill High School.

Drafting is an introductory drafting class that teaches drafting fundamentals and basic construction. As students proceed with the course, they become familiar with drafting methods and procedures and develop the drafting skills and techniques necessary to allow them to progress into Drafting/CAD (CAD I).

In Drafting/CAD (CAD I), students are introduced to the AutoCAD program. Students will learn basic skills, terminology and applications, as well as creating a variety of mechanical and architectural drawings. Each student will design a log cabin that will include a floor and electrical plan.

In Architecture Design (CAD II), students apply skills learned in Drafting/CAD, and continue learning the AutoCAD program. Each student will design a dream home. This will include a site plan, a foundation and electrical plan, a first floor and electrical plan, a second floor and electrical plan, and a front, back, and side elevation plans.

In Research & Design (CAD III), students apply skills learned in Drafting/CAD and Architecture Design, and use AutoCAD as the primary software. Students also apply CAD skills to real-life projects based on consumer requirements and requests.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.
