Hello My Name Is...

Andrew Shockley

Mr. Shockley

Hello! My name is Andrew Shockley. I’m new to Spring Hill High School this year, but this will be my 28th year as a teacher. I spent the majority of my time at Truman HS in Independence, MO and retired from there last year. I wasn’t ready to just sit around, so here I am. I have been asked to start the Manufacturing/Engineer and the Auto, Home, & Life programs.

It’s my hope to teach your children general and machine safety, how to build and create things, as well as important lifelong lessons such as drywall, plumbing, electrical and maintenance on automobiles.  The classes I’ll be teaching are:

Manufacturing & Engineering class is a year-long class-offered to 10th-12th grades.

Auto, Home, & Life class-is a semester class-offered to 10th-12th grades

Here’s a little about me: my wife (Stacy) and I have been married for almost 30 years. I’m a father to two: Kailey, who lives here in Spring Hill and Kellen, who lives in St. Pete, Florida; I am a papa to Chase and another grandson in December. In my free time, (not that I have a lot), I enjoy hanging out with family and friends, watching football, going to our family farm and napping!

If you have any questions throughout the year, please don’t hesitate to call or email me! I strive to keep an open line of communication about what’s going on in the classroom and with your children. Andrew Shockley shockleya@usd230.org 913-592-5478 "‚ÄčIt's a great day to be a Bronco"
