KSHSAAOn Tuesday, Sept. 26, the Kansas State High School Activities Association (KSHSAA) released their school classifications for the 2018-2019 school year, which is based off of the number of full-time students enrolled in grades 9-12. This year Spring Hill High School reported 779 full-time students. Based on that number, Spring Hill High School is now classified as a 5A high school in the state of Kansas.

So what does that mean for SHHS? Beginning this year, all sports except football will compete against other 5A high schools in post-season athletics. This classification does not affect what league we are a member of or our regular season schedules. Students, coaches and parents will experience the difference when post-season play begins for all activities.

You may find the full classification list of all high school schools on the KSHSAA web-site at www.kshsaa.org.
