Mark your calendars!!
HOSA (Health Occupation Students of America) Club is sponsoring a blood drive with the Red Cross on Wednesday, Nov. 11th from 12-5pm.
While the most rewarding part of giving blood is saving lives, there is another perk when you donate here at the high school. The Red Cross funds a scholarship every year to schools who host blood drives that meet their donation goals. Last year, due to our successful blood drives, we were able to give out $1500 in scholarship money to eligible SHHS graduating seniors! If you would like to sign up to donate, follow the instructions on the flyer.
(PS - Donors this fall get a $10 Amazon gift card!!)

You can't say you forgot, because here we are reminding you! Fall Conferences are TOMORROW and THURSDAY!!!
Seniors families should get hype to attend GRAD PREP MEETINGS! (Whoa...how did that happen so fast?!)
Underclassmen families are invited to walk-in conferences, and the teachers can't wait to see as many people as possible. Even if your student has excellent grades, conferences are amazing for relationship building and school culture.

Seniors & Senior Families — Don't delay on applying for the full-ride Rudd Scholarship! The application is open until Dec. 1

Wednesday, Oct. 14 is an early release day prior to conferences, but it's also TESTING DAY! Check out the awesome opportunties your Bronco has during that short day. Despite the early release, it's a very important day for students to be present.

On Wednesday, Sept. 29, HOSA freshmen and sophomore students attended the Explore Your Future in Healthcare Event. Students got to practice hands-on healthcare skills, network with local healthcare professionals, and learn about colleges that offer healthcare programs specific to their interests!

You have TEN days to make sure your Bronco's nickname or preferred name will end up in the 2027 yearbook and other student publications. If you added an ""other"" name during enrollment, you're all done. Otherwise, you need to email shhs-info@usd230.org to request an update to your student's name. The list will be finalized and closed for edits when we return for quarter 2.
